Add an accurate first purchase
- Choose a product template, or enter your product and verify the metal and fine ounces per unit.
- Enter the number of units, purchase date and total cash paid.
- Check the final fine-ounce total before saving.
Fine ounces describe pure metal content. They can differ from a coin or bar’s gross weight.
Record a full or partial sale
Open the holding’s full record and choose Record sale. Enter the quantity and proceeds, then review the remaining holding and sale result.
A sale is different from deleting a holding. Keep the sale record when you want the activity to remain part of your ledger.
Keep both backups
Metals JSON: open Settings → Backups → Export JSON. Use Choose JSON in the same section to restore a metals backup.
Bitcoin JSON: open Bitcoin → My Wallet → Export records. Use Import records there to restore Bitcoin purchases and sales.
These are separate files: a metals backup does not include Bitcoin, and the Bitcoin export does not include its device-only goals or checkpoints. Restoring either file replaces that account ledger across synced devices after confirmation. Export both first if you track both assets.
For a readable metals holdings CSV, open My stack → Holdings → Manage ledger → Import / export → Export CSV. Exports include private details even when balances are hidden.
Understand sync and offline viewing
“Synced” means the current ledger has been confirmed by the cloud service. A local copy can be viewed offline after an online load when your session is available.
If a save cannot be confirmed, reconnect and sync before retrying. The server may have received the change even if the response was interrupted.
Install or update the app
Use your browser’s install option. On iPhone or iPad, open the app in Safari and use Share → Add to Home Screen.
Settings shows the app version and offline status. When an update is ready, finish and save your work, close all Track My Stack tabs and app windows, then reopen.
Manage or delete your account
Use the sign-in screen’s password-reset option if you cannot sign in. Never send a password, reset link or session token through the contact form.
To remove your account, export separate metals and Bitcoin backups first if you use both. In Settings → Account, expand Delete account and cloud ledger, choose Delete my account, and type DELETE to confirm.
This removes your sign-in account, active metals and Bitcoin cloud ledgers, ledger receipts and photos, and account-linked server alerts. After confirmed success, the app signs out and attempts to clear this account’s local copy in the current browser.
Downloads and copies on other devices must be removed separately. Provider backups and contact messages are separate. Read the deletion details.
